Temple of the Nemean Zeus: In another part of the same ancient area of Nemea you’ll be discovering this temple. It belongs to the end of the era of the Classical Doric style and the beginning of the new Hellenistic tendency to combine architectural styles with a special emphasis on decoration. Nemean Zeus is the god of shepherds and livestock, a symbol of the valley’s identity as a place uncultivable but suitable for grazing.

The Nemean Games: were held every two years, alternating with the Isthmian games. They took place in the summer of the year in which no Olympic or Pythian games were held. In the Roman imperial period, the Nemean games in the year after the Olympics were moved to winter.

The archaeological site of Ancient Corinth lays on the northern foothills of the Acrocorinth hill, around the Archaic Temple of Apollo. Extended excavations have brought to light the Roman Forum, temples, fountains, porticoes, baths, latrines, and various other monuments.
